Doing it all on a part-time basis right now while taking care of families and working other jobs, David Fritz called up five former co-workers after hearing concerns from other businesses. Three instances in which someone approached him, was when Fritz thought maybe there is a need for a marketing agency.
The new venture called Agency 39 includes web design, logo design, marketing research and analytics. Fritz the region doesn’t have a lot of experience with agencies but saw that local businesses didn’t have either the time, money or knowledge to better market and grow themselves.
Nina Merlino who works on the digital side of things stated it’s exciting to see some of the mom and pop stores show interest. They want to help those businesses grow online through catalogs and social media.
Michelle Beier moved to Sidney from Ohio for the job at Cabela’s and said she had to find a way to stick around the area. Her kids are rooted in the area and she herself loves it. Merlino feels the same way and added that she feels it’s important to support the community.
Cody Ross who also helps on the social media side of things for the company has been in Sidney for years and states its nothing like living in the big city. He adds that yes there are jobs in the big city but with an area such as Sidney everyone connects with each other, they say hi to you and you get that close knit feel.
He and the rest of the team are hoping that close knit feel helps spread their business around. They want to see it grow into an agency that is helping various businesses not only in Sidney and Cheyenne County but the Panhandle as well.
They are right now located at the WNCC Sidney Campus Innovation Center but hope they will be expanding soon. The official launch date of the agency is September 9th which is coming fast for a team who started working on this venture in April. They are hoping businesses see the professionalism they can bring while connecting with the area and having it at an affordable price. Ross stated to him it’s just a job you go to and put in your time, but an opportunity for him to joke around and enjoy the time with his co-workers.
