Geil Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Gering Junior High and Northfield Elementary are learning about why they should not do drugs or accept drugs from others.

One student says he learned some life lessons.

“To not be bullied, be nice and to help others,” said Carter, 1st Grader. “If they are hurt, say are you okay and help them up.”

Another student says she learned lessons, too.

“To be a good citizen, tell a teacher when you need to and not tattletale,” said Thum, 1st Grader.

Many of these students spent their homeroom time signing pledges to be drug and alcohol free.
