Green staying with the Huskers and will be a student athlete next season in Lincoln

Western Nebraska Community College sophomore Jervay Green was signed and ready to become a Nebraska basketball player. However things changed when Tim Miles was let go by the university last month.

Green decided to think about his commitment over the past couple weeks but on Sunday he decided to stay with Nebraska and will play for new head coach Fred Hoiberg next season.

This past season Green was an all region performer helping the Cougars earn 24 wins on the season and earning national recognition in the process.

Green says he was impressed with coach Hoiberg and is excited to begin his journey with the Huskers.
