NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - An Interstate 80 drug bust netted marijuana, drug paraphernalia and drugs near North Platte. Tuesday morning, a trooper pulled over a Ford Pickup for a license plate violation. A K9 dog smelled a controlled substance.

A search found 14 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and multiple types of controlled pills. The driver, Keith Cerney, 32, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was arrested and taken to jail. He was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.
