KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Two suspects accused in an August shooting incident in Kearney stand convicted on felony charges related to the case.
Michael Becker, 21, Minden, and Hunter Frecks, 21, Kearney, were convicted of attempted robbery and second degree assault. In exchange for no contest pleas on these charges, related weapons charges were dropped.
Becker and Frecks were connected to the shooting of Joshua Rose, 24, on August 13th in what Kearney police say was a robbery attempt at 1920 Avenue F in the southeast part of town. Rose suffered a gunshot wound to the head in the incident.
Both Becker and Frecks will be sentenced January 4th and could get up to 40 years each in prison.
David L. Estrada, 21, Minden, is charged with aiding and abetting a felony and misdemeanor criminal trespassing. He's pleaded not guilty to both charges.
His next court date is November 26th.
