As part of this year’s theme of “A Universe of Stories,” Deb Carlson and the group brought in Dino O’Dell from Kansas City. His mix of storytelling, sing along songs and books give kids an opportunity to learn in an interactive setting.

Many of the kids in attendance were seen dancing, clapping and singing along while on the front lawn of the library. Sitting intently, they also learned more about the universe.

Before the event began, Carlson touched on the exciting part of getting involved with the reading program and the fun kids can have with it.

As the summer reading program continues, they will have a Galaxy Art and A Universe of Activities events over the next couple of days.
