LINGLE, Wyo. After three years of preparation and renovation work, the Lingle Community Center is officially open.

This center offers a spacious main room, office and kitchen for birthday parties, weddings with receptions and much more.

The Lingle Town Hall staff are even utilizing it for council meetings and future elections.

For this renovation, the City hired contractors for demolition and re-purposing.

The project officially started in March of 2019, almost fully completed by December of 2019 and finalized by January of 2020.

Mayor George Siglin states that there are two things that makes up a community; a school and a community center.

If this project was not completed, the Town of Lingle would have been the only location without a community center.

“We have five incorporated towns and a couple of towns that aren’t incorporated in Goshen County,” said Siglin. “Everyone has a community center and if we didn’t replace the one we had, we would have not had one. It’s not keeping up with the Joneses but your community has to have some place to go.”

Goshen County Economic Development Corporation assisted with grants and presenting it to the Wyoming Business Council.

If you are interested in renting the center, you can call Lingle Town Hall at (307) 837-2422.

The ribbon cutting will go from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
