Local aviator is a part of history while introducing flight to new generation

OSHKOSH, Wis. - (KNEP) - A Scottsbluff aviator volunteers his time to introduce a new generation to the world of flight.

There will be various planes on display June 1st for Airport Appreciation Day (source KNEP)

Arvey Carlson of Scottsbluff gave more than 100 people a free demonstration airplane ride as part of the EAA Young Eagles program. Before the flight, Carlson instructed them on the safe operations of airplanes and principles of flight.

His name is one of the many that was placed in the “World’s Largest Logbook” which is on permanent display at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and online through the Young Eagle website.
