Scottsbluff, NEB Mitchell grad Nate Lashley showed no sign of nerves playing in his first US Open Golf Tournament. The former University of Arizona golfer and Western Nebraska native played a strong round one shooting a score of 67 to start the tourney at four under.
Lashley was one of a handful of golfers to finish round one without a bogey. His 67 places him just two shots behind first round leader Justin Rose.
He is set to tee off for round two in the morning session at Pebble Beach.
