Morrill High School names Schyler Ferguson head football coach

Morrill,NEB Morrill High School has a new head football coach to the program.

Gering High School and Chadron State graduate Schyler Ferguson taking over the head coaching duties.

Ferguson has been in Arizona coaching high school football with fellow Gering graduates Danny O'Boyle, Zach Smith and head coach Patrick O'Boyle.

He also made stops in Minatare teaching and coaching there.

Ferguson is excited to begin a new chapter with the Lions this coming season.

He will replace Adam Jantzi who is leaving for a teaching and assistant football coaching position at Holdrege High Sc hool.

Jantzi will be a part of head coach, Chadron native and former Scottsbluff assistant coach Jake McLain's staff.

This past season Jantzi led Morrill to the Class D1 state playoffs and has been instrumental in the rebuilding process for the Lions.
