Multiple agencies respond to two vehicle accident on Highway 26

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. Emergency personnel respond to a two vehicle accident on the intersection of Highway 26 and County Road 19 around 2:30pm.

Both vehicles on scene received massive damage. A stretcher was brought out looking to assist someone who might have been trapped. (Brian Sherrod, KNEP)

On scene, the van involved had massive damage all around it. The front windshield was badly cracked and the side of the van is badly damaged.

On scene, a stretcher was brought out looking to help someone get out.

The truck on scene also sustained some pretty massive damage. The entire front of the vehicle is badly damaged.

No information yet about any potential injures or the cause of the accident.

Nebraska State Patrol, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsbluff Rural Fire Protection District are all on scene.

One lane of traffic is blocked as you travel on Highway 26 towards Mitchell.
