PINE RIDGE, S.D. - (KNEP) - South Dakota Officials continue to look for cause of fire in South Dakota that required Rushville Volunteer Fire to respond.
Fire Chief Dwane Sones says the call came in just before 7:30am on Saturday and drove eight firefighters up to a structural fire. Two other Nebraska crews such as Martin were already on scene trying to put out the flames.
Sones mentioned the weather forced him to go a little under the speed limit as slush began building up on the asphalt.
The blaze was contained rather quickly but Rushville volunteer fire crew stayed on scene for nearly five hours. Chief Sones mentioned the fire went into the attic and forced them to have to work harder to put the entire fire out.
