SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - One driver was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on South Beltline Highway Tuesday morning.
According to Scottsbluff Police, the accident happened just before 8 am at the intersection of Avenue N and South Beltline Highway. A Chevy Trailblazer, driven by 70-year-old Kathleen Freadrich of Scottsbluff, was facing south on Avenue N and stopped at the stopped sign.
Officers indicate Freadrich failed to yield for incoming traffic in the westbound lane and collided with a Sterling concrete truck; driven by 29-year-old Nicholas Schultz of Minatare.
Freadrich was taken to Regional West Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and was cited for failing to yield. Her car is a total loss.
Schultz was uninjured but his truck received an estimated $3,000 in damage.
