Panhandle firefighters meet once a month for hands-on training

ALLIANCE, Neb. Panhandle firefighters meet once a month for hands-on and reviewing their online training for their Firefighter 1 class.

This past Saturday, 11 firefighters from Alliance Fire Department, two from Bridgeport Fire Department, two from Scottsbluff Rural Fire Protection District and one from Bayard Volunteer Fire Department met to review tools and equipment, forcible entry, ventilation and ladders.

These firefighters were even shown an aerial ladder during class.

They meet once a month and the next scheduled date is November 2nd.

They are also expected to meet on December 5th.
