LINCOLN, Neb. - Pinnacle Bank Arena has earned a spot on Pollstar's 2017 Year-End Top 200 Arena Venues list based on ticket sales. The Lincoln facility competed with venues from around the world finishing #45 in the United States and #85 in the world.

"We are at the top because of how the Lincoln community has supported the venue over the last four years," said Tom Lorenz, General Manager at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

"Pinnacle Bank Arena continues to put Lincoln on the map as a prime market for live entertainment," said Tom Lorenz "Our success relies upon ticket sales and the support of the community."

Some of Pinnacle Bank Arena's biggest shows of 2017 included concerts by Eric Church, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jeff Dunham, Billy Joel, Journey, Chris Brown, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and five Garth Brooks shows.

"It's all about the shows that come to the arena, and we got some of the best this year because of the amount of people on tour in 2017," said Lorenz "It helped that we got to end our year selling out 5 Garth Brooks concerts."

The O2-London took first place in the overall ticket sales rankings and Madison Square Garden garnered the top United States spot. The rankings are determined by tickets sold worldwide for concerts from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017.

Pollstar is a weekly trade publication covering the worldwide concert industry.
