Riley Pruitt leaves Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with top five in world standings

Gering native and former Eastern Wyoming Community College rodeo athlete Riley Pruitt ends the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a top five finish in both average and the world standings for tie down roping.

Pruitt finished fifth in the average for tie down roping and fourth in the world standings earning $226,445. Haven Meged took home the top honors in both the average and world standings for the event.

Canadian Orin Larsen who has a history in Gering ended his Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with a top five finish as well in bareback riding.

Larsen finished fourth in the average and second in the world standings to end the season.

While Mullen resident Steven Dent finished 14th in the world standings for bareback riding. Clayton Biglow took home both the average and the world title in the event.
