Safety tips for students heading back to school

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. With many schools beginning session this week, the Scottsbluff Police Department would like to remind the public of safety tips.

Parents should talk with their children and remind them to cross the street at the cross walks and wait until both directions of traffic has come to a complete stop. (Brian Sherrod, KNEP)

Motorists should go 15mph in school zones when children are present.

On 27th Street between Broadway to 5th Avenue, the speed limit is 20mph at all times.
