Scottsbluff Police Department is releasing the name of the individual and his condition stemming from the car versus pedestrian accident on September 20th.

The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Daniel Shadegg. He was treated at Regional West Medical Center but has now been transported to the intensive care unit. He is listed in stable condition.
It is unknown at this time the extent of injuries from the second car versus pedestrian accident in three days.
The Friday late afternoon accident occurred before 5p just down the street from the Dairy King close to the intersection of Avenue I and West Overland.
According to Scottsbluff Police Department, Carol Knaub was driving a white sports utility vehicle east on West Overland. A 65-year-old male was walking west bound on the south side of the street. Witnesses state the pedestrian appeared to be “unsteady on his feet” moments prior to the incident.
The victim was hit by the front passenger side of the vehicle and was treated on scene before heading to Regional West Medical Center.
An investigation remains ongoing but at this time Knaub has not been cited.
