Scottsbluff man faces sexual assault of a child charges

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - A Scottsbluff man is facing first degree attempted sexual assault and second degree sexual assault of a child.

According to the affidavit, Nebraska State Patrol investigators stated Paul Torres Junior was not honest and was deceptive during a polygraph test.

The victim alleges an incident occurred when she was 11 in which Torres Jr. allegedly inappropriately touched her before she ran out of the room. The victim also told officers during an interview from a child advocacy center that a couple years later Torres Jr. allegedly inappropriately touched her again.

During an interview with Torres Jr. officers asked him what should happen to someone who does this sort of act to which the affidavit sates he said that they should pay for what they did and should get locked up.

He is also facing a child abuse charge with a bond set at 10% of $100,000.
