Scottsbluff man sustains head injury in Sunday motorcycle accident

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) A motorcycle accident, Sunday, sent one man to the hospital. A motorcycle ridden by Dalton Ludwig (23) of Scottsbluff collided with Dustin Berner (31) of Scottsbluff.

According to police reports, Ludwig was stopped at a stop sign on E 20th St, when he failed to negotiate a right turn and headed east, driving over a raised highway median. As Berner was attempting to turn left from Hwy 26 to head west on E 20th St, Ludwig’s 2015 Suzuki motorcycle collided with Berner’s 2016 Chevrolet pickup.

Scottsbluff Police responded at approximately 1:30pm to the accident. Scottsbluff fire also lent assistance on the scene. Valley ambulance carried Ludwig to Regional West Medical Center for a non-life threatening head injury.

Estimates for damage to the vehicles were provided in the report. Ludwig’s Suzuki is estimated to have sustained about $1000 in damages. Berner’s Chevrolet is estimated to have sustained about $2600 in damages.
