Scottsbluff woman takes plea deal in sex offender case

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - A Scottsbluff woman makes a plea deal stemming from a failure to register as a sex offender every three months.

According to court records, June Laravie, who was convicted of first degree sexual assault in 2004, was arrested back in July for failure to report and being an habitual criminal.

As per the plea agreement, Laravie will plea guilty to one count of failure to register as a sex offender every three months, failure to update contract information in the registry and resisting arrest. She will see the habitual criminal charge dropped.

Laravie will find out how long she will spend behind bars on November 1st.
