Second person arrested stemming from March 2019 control buy operation

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - Officers arrest a second person involved in a March controlled buy situation orchestrated by WING Drug Task Force.

According to the affidavit, Ashley Gomez was allegedly a second person involved in a controlled buy on March 10th of last year. It is alleged that Gomez and Jacob Johnson met up with an individual.

Documents report that Gomez allegedly handed over the suspected methamphetamine in exchange for $250. This transaction is alleged to have occurred within a thousand feet of a school or playground.

A few days after this alleged buy, Gomez was one of five subjects involved in another WING drug bust at a Gering residence. In that operation, officials seized nearly 60 grams of suspected meth, several baggies, a scale, pay sheets and cash. Gomez was also found to have an additional baggie on her when booked at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

Gomez is facing one count of distribution and 10% of $100,000 bond for the March 10th buy.
