Self-service pet wash opens up in Scottsbluff

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. A new pet grooming business has opened their doors in Scottsbluff.

Doggie Do It Yourself is a self-service pet wash for residents to wash their animals.

They provide brushes, combs, towels, aprons, cologne, shampoos and power drying time.

With the shortage of groomers in the area, residents are not keeping up with maintenance as often as they should.

“We are willing to give training to those who want it to help maintenance their dog year round,” said Gwen Ensrud, Owner and Operator. “We want them to get a better bath and brush their animal so they don’t get matted in the summer.”

The staff recommends bathing your dog monthly to prevent fleas, bugs, dandruff and bad skin.

“It’s really healthy to bathe your dog at least a couple times a year and even more than that,” explained Stevie Jara, Dog Groomer. “I say a couple times at least. For the short haired dogs, I would go at least every two months. I like to bathe my dog every week just to smell good.”

Doggie Do It Yourself is open Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm. They are closed on Saturdays but open back open on Sunday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

If you have any questions, you can contact them at (308) 220-3647 or search them on Facebook at Doggie Do It Yourself.

They are located on 1501 Broadway in Scottsbluff.
