CHADRON, Neb. Shelter Insurance, based out of Alliance, has expanded their services by opening a facility in Chadron.

Shelter Insurance provides home, auto, life, business and farm insurance.

The reason for the Chadron expansion is due to the lack of Shelter Insurance within their area.

The staff felt that with Chadron having around the same population as Alliance, the business would do well.

When it comes to location, 127 W 2nd Street in Chadron, they say it’s perfect because of the lighting and being in the prime location of downtown.

Agent Nicholas Wright states they were nervous at first for the expansion.

“I suppose with anything that is worth doing when it comes to business, there is always an element of risk,” said Nicholas Wright, Agent. “I don’t know that it’s anything in business that you do where there is not that element there but we saw the opportunity and I think a lot of it has to do with consistency and execution.”

During their Open House and Ribbon Cutting, Boars Pit Catering Company will be roasting a whole hog, corn hole with games, free giveaways, multiple drawings for free prizes to Chadron area businesses and a grand prize that includes one night’s stay at the Blackstone Lodge and Suites in Lead, South Dakota and tickets to the Gatlin Brothers on February 27th at the Deadwood Mountain Grand.
Shelter Insurance is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

You can contact them by calling (308) 430-2485 or searching them on Facebook, Shelter Insurance.
