The NBC Nebraska Weather Team has issued a Weather Alert Day.
Blizzard warnings go in effect Tuesday night as a strong low pressure system centers itself over Nebraska.
This low pressure will allow for our rain chances to turn into heavy snowfall across the Panhandle and Eastern Wyoming. Our snow chances will be slow to accumulate at first, but with cooling air and a steady supply of moisture, there could be more than 10" of snow in some areas.
Our snowfall will meet up to 70 mph gusts at times causing whiteout conditions as well as forming large snow drifts.
Blizzard-like conditions could last into Thursday afternoon.
