SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. Lincoln Elementary is hosting a beef jerky fundraiser to raise money to build a pergola.

It will be placed on the north side of the building and include four picnic tables with poles to anchor it.

The cost of materials for this project is $2,500 but with the cement slab and building, it will cost between $5,000 and $6,000.

It will be used to have class outside, do science experiments and eat lunch.

They are selling the packs in three. They contain the flavors teriyaki, original and pepper.

Each packet costs $18.

Students are selling them door to door, you can order them online and parents can bring them to work.

They decided on beef jerky because of its popularity.

The last day for the sale is Thursday, April 25th.

The student that sells the most gets to be principal for a day.
