Students taught how to properly wash their hands

GERING, Neb. Preschoolers and kindergartners from Lincoln Elementary are taught how to properly wash their hands Friday.

Students from Lincoln Elementary are taught how to properly wash and dry their hands and how to cover their coughs and sneezes to prevent spreading. (Mickie Janecek)

Janelle Visser from Panhandle Public Health District showed these students about germs and how they cause sickness.

They are shown techniques to cover their coughs and sneezes to avoid spreading germs.

They held a bag of germs under a black lights to take a look at them.

While washing and drying their hands, they were shown how they look under a black light to make sure they were properly cleaned.
