Jamie Schaneman decided to jump on the opportunity after she was eliminated from her previous position.
Jamie would always come into The Java Jar and previous Owner Kris Brooks offered the business to her.
After a month of conservations, Jamie and Larry Schaneman purchased the business.
Larry has been in business for 35 years so Jamie has seen him thrive.
The Java Jar was built from the ground up and has been operational for 24 years.
With much to still learn, Jamie still finds herself nervous about the opportunity.
“I’m still nervous,” said Jamie Schaneman, New Owner. “It’s a lot to learn. I came in a month before we actually did the purchase and wanted to try to learn the ropes as much as I could. I am still learning and it is a big learning process. I’ve enjoyed every bit of it.”
Customer service is essential at The Java Jar.
They are still looking to hire for staff.
They recommend students and stay at home mothers to apply.
The Java Jar is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 4:00pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am to 2:00pm.
If you have any questions, you can call them at (308) 532-8541.
The Java Jar can be found in the 21st and Main building on Main Street.
