Two Panhandle libraries participate in National Library Week

SCOTTSBLUFF/GERING, Neb. It is National Library Week and for the occasion, two libraries in the Panhandle are participating.

National Library Week will officially start at the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library on Tuesday, April 9th with Tech Tuesday The Cloud beginning at 5:30pm.

On Wednesday, April 10th, they will conduct a Library Board Meeting starting at 8:30am.

On Thursday, April 11th, they will provide Storytime with Feathered Friends at 10:00am and 6:15pm.

On Friday, April 12th, the Bare Minimum Book Club will meet on Facebook. The event is provided all day.

On Saturday, April 13th, the Galaxy Easter Egg Painting will begin at 2:00pm.

The Lied Scottsbluff Public Library is giving away three raffle baskets. Anyone who visits the library this week may enter.

The Gering Public Library is also hosting events for National Library Week.

The Friends of the Gering Library Book Sale will begin on Wednesday April 10th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. It will continue on Thursday, April 11th from 9:00am to 7:00pm, Friday, April 12th from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, April 13th from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Gering Public Library is also providing Fine Forgiveness all week. This will forgive any fines you may have with the library except for damaged and lost items.

They will be providing giveaways this week.

On Monday, a scratch and sniff pickle bookmark.

On Tuesday, five free black and white prints or copies.

On Wednesday, one free fax page.

On Thursday, free lost card replacement.

On Friday, a candy drawing and on Saturday, two free color prints.
