Two controlled buys last July results in arrest of one

SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY, Neb. - (KNEP) - Nebraska WING Drug Task Force assists in two 2019 controlled buys that result in an arrest.

James Flood is facing two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (Source Scotts Bluff County Detention Center)

According to the affidavit, officers assisted in a controlled buy operation on July 13th. The subjected target was James Flood. Flood, was allegedly picked up while walking in Terrytown and allegedly sold 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine for $160.

Six days later, officers attempted to get another 3.5 grams from Flood through another control buy operation. During that attempt, Flood was picked up and driven around at first before returning to a house in the area of South Street in Gering. It is alleged that Flood was unable to get the 3.5 grams but could sell a gram for $80.

Flood is being held on two counts of distribution of a controlled substance with a 10% of $250,000 bond. His first scheduled court appearance is February 27th.
