The flyovers on Monday were a way to salute health care professionals and Nebraskans responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by flying over hospitals.
The flights across the state were supposed to take place last week but due to weather was pushed to Monday.
Locally Alliance's Box Butte General Hospital and Chadron's Community Hospital's were on the path of the flyovers.
During the pandemic the Air National Guard has been key in sending medical supplies and tests to hospitals across the country. Monday was a way for them to take some time, giving thanks to Nebraska's health community.
