Two remain in the hospital with two others dying in Monday morning crash

DEUEL COUNTY, Neb. - (KNEP) - A utility vehicle crosses into oncoming traffic Monday on I-80 hitting a semi resulting in the death of two and two others in the hospital.

According to Nebraska State Patrol, just before 7:30a Monday, an eastbound Ford F450 crossed into westbound traffic at mile marker 103 near Big Springs.

The driver and a passenger of the F450 were taken to Julesburg Hospital in Colorado. The other two passengers inside the vehicle, 33-year-old Enrique Torres Villegas and 55-year-old Kurt Allan Jording both of Scottsbluff, were pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing with Nebraska State Patrol assisting Big Springs Fire/EMS, Deuel County Sheriff’s Office, the Deuel County Attorney’s Office, Ogallala Regional Medical, the Nebraska Department of Transportaion and Scottsbluff Police Department at the scene.
