Two sent to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after Friday accident

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - Two are sent to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after a Friday afternoon accident in Scottsbluff.

According to the police department, around 3:30p Friday afternoon a 2000 Buick Park Avenue driven by 62-year-old Steven Kourajiuan of Harvey, North Dakota failed to yield for a red light at the intersection of Highway 26 and Avenue B.

In doing so, Kourajiuan collided with a 2016 Honda CR-V driven by Mark Clause, of Gering, who was traveling south on Avenue B. The impact of the collision sent Kourajiuan into a 2018 Chevy Suburban that was on the southside of Avenue B.

Kourajiuan and Clause were taken to Regional West Medical Center. Kourajiuan was also cited for failure to yield.
