United Way receives $3,000 donation to fight food insecurity

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. The Scottsbluff-Gering Rotary Club presented a $3,000 donation to United Way of Western Nebraska towards their upcoming Day of Caring Food Packaging event.

The Day of Caring Food Packaging event will have approximately 200 community volunteers packaging 75,000 meals to be distributed through programs serving food insecure families. (Brian Sherrod, KNEP)

This event is used to fight food insecurity within the communities.

At this event, approximately 200 community volunteers will package 75,000 meals to be distributed through programs serving food insecure families.

Organizations can still help by dropping off donations at the United Way office located at 1517 Broadway Suite #10.
