SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - Faculty and staff at Western Nebraska Community College say goodbye to four of their members including the college’s president.
President Todd Holcomb is moving on to a position at Hawkeye Community College in Iowa and with a few days remaining at WNCC the staff hosted a fair well party.
Holcomb said he will miss the good people of the community and the college and the scenery the Panhandle provides including the sunrises and sunsets.
A dream of becoming a college president became a reality for Holcomb when WNCC offered him the position. Holcomb believes his legacy will include the work he did to help construct and renovate buildings at the Scottsbluff, Sidney and Alliance campuses.
Holcomb also worked hard on helping build the foundation to what it is today. With all that said, he is grateful for the opportunity to work and be the President of WNCC. He is also grateful to be a part of a college who is focused on the success of its students.
Farewell party was also for Laurie Alkire and Peg Wolff who are retiring as well as Dr. Kim Kuster Dale who is going to Western Wyoming Community College.
