WNCC volleyball team ready to open the season with talent and new faces (Pictures/Video)

Scottsbluff, NEB The Western Nebraska Community College volleyball team set to open to open the 2019 season August 22nd against Durham College out of Canada.

The Cougars will be a young group as they return just four sophomores from last season's team (Adia Sherbeyn, Leslie Mamai-Lagafuaina, Ana Costas, and Gabriela Canavati). Those four sophomores bring expeirence and talent to form leadership for the squad.

Sprinkle in eleven strong freshman that are expected to adapt to college right away led by Gering graduates Arianna Mitchell and Olivia Schaub and Mitchell graduate Anabelle Gillen.

If the freshman can blend with the sophmores right away expect a big season for WNCC in 2019.

The Cougars first home match is set for September 10 against Eastern Wyoming.
