Western Nebraska Regional Airport Board approves bid for construction of new building

Scottsbluff, NEB The Western Nebraska Regional Airport Authority Board has approved a bid that will begin construction of a new building as part of the airport fire station.

The board had three bids to look over and they chose the 1.5 million dollar one from Anderson-Shaw Construction.

The building is needed to provide federally required space to accommodate firefighting vehicles.

Once completed the new building will be north of the existing building. Federal and state officials must approve the bid before construction begins and they hope to have construction underway sometime in the summer.
