ALLIANCE, Neb. The Veterans State Cemetery at Alliance Foundation Board of Directors hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the Wind Break Panel Project at the Committal Shelter.

Foundation President Jerry Steele stated that they thought it would take up to 10 years for this project to be completed.

Thanks to the help and grant from the Dylan Foundation, the project was completed in less than a year.

Overall, the project cost $160,000 and the help of the grant put them over the top.

“Oh it’s great,” said Steele. “Fantastic that the people of Alliance, the surrounding area and all the veterans’ organizations have supported this project.”
