Wyoming traffic deaths reach all year high

STATE OF WYOMING, Wyo. Buckling your seatbelt in your vehicle is not just a law to abide by.
It can be the difference between a life and death situation.

As of January 1st, 2019, the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Wyoming Department of Transportation have received 64 fatalities for distracted driving, lack of seatbelts, alcohol and several other factors. (Brian Sherrod, KNEP)

From January first through May 24th, the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Wyoming Department of Transportation have received 64 fatalities for distracted driving, lack of seatbelts, alcohol and several other factors.

43% of these drivers were not wearing seatbelts.

So far this year, fatalities are higher than any previous year.

Around this time in 2018, there were 36 fatalities and in 2017, 37.

Wyoming had 111 total fatalities in 2018, 123 in 2017, 112 in 2016, 145 in 2015 and 150 in 2014
