Grand Island Police warns drivers about car thefts

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - After seeing car thefts each of the last six days, Grand Island Police are warning drivers to take precautions so they won’t be the next victim.

Some tips the police have provided include not leaving your keys in your vehicle, taking valuables with you inside wherever you go, and making sure you lock your car.

Captain Jim Duering with the police department says as far as they can tell, all of the thefts involved the perpetrator having access to the car keys.
