Dry and warm into next week; Slight cool down by mid-week

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Good evening! Temperatures warmed back up today into the 60’s for much of the area. Partly cloudy skies clear out tonight leading to several days with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures stay above average into Wednesday before a slight cool down. We stay dry through the week into next weekend before some active weather returns into the following week.

Tonight/Tomorrow: Cloud cover clears out through the night tonight as temperatures drop back into the mid 30’s across western Nebraska. Warmer temperatures are expected to the east in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s. Sunny skies are expected for much of Sunday as temperatures warm back into the 60’s. Low to mid 60’s for eastern Nebraska with upper 60’s near 70 for areas to the west. Winds should stay fairly light just adding to what should be a beautiful afternoon.

Monday Through Wednesday: Morning lows Monday stay in the low to mid 40’s across the area. We’ll warm up quickly into the afternoon with highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. Mainly sunny skies are expected both Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures drop back into the mid 30’s Tuesday morning with highs Tuesday afternoon back in the mid 60’s. Partly cloudy skies return Wednesday with temperatures staying in the 60’s. Breezy winds arrive Wednesday afternoon around 10 to 20 mph ahead of a cold front that will cool us down for the rest of the work week.

Thursday Through The Weekend: Morning lows are expected to drop back into the low to mid 30’s each morning. The coldest morning is expected to be Friday morning with lows ranging from the mid 20’s to mid 30’s. Highs return to the low to mid 50’s Thursday and Friday. Partly cloudy skies Thursday clear out leading to plenty of sunshine Friday into Saturday. Temperatures return to the mid 50’s to low 60’s Saturday with widespread 60’s by Sunday. Dry conditions stick around through the weekend.

Looking Ahead: Above average temperatures stick around for a few days. An active weather pattern is anticipated to move back in throughout that week which will likely bring back some cooler temperatures.
