SUMNER, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska State Senator Teresa Ibach wants another four years to represent District 44 in the Nebraska Legislature.

She said she’s pledging to continue her work to be a strong voice for rural Nebraska.

“As a farmer and rancher, I live the same challenges facing rural families every day,” Ibach said. “In the Legislature, I’ve worked hard to bring common-sense leadership, build consensus across the aisle and ensure rural voices are heard.”

Ibach currently serves in several key leadership positions in the Unicameral, including vice chair of the Agriculture Committee.

Ibach graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and, alongside her husband, said they have dedicated their lives to agriculture and public service.

“My focus will continue to be the issues that matter most to rural Nebraska — supporting family farms and ranches, promoting fair tax policy, expanding economic opportunities in small towns, improving access to early childhood education and childcare, strengthening housing and healthcare access and investing in infrastructure,” Ibach said.

District 44 covers eight counties across southwest Nebraska, including Dawson and Frontier.

Senator Ibach was first elected in 2022 and is seeking her second term.
