Home show comes to Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Some folks may have missed the home building show in Kearney last weekend, but there’s a chance to catch up this weekend. Central Nebraska Home Builders Association is holding their 48th Home Builders Show inside Pinnacle Bank Expo Center at Fonner Park.
The vent was from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and will conclude Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Close to 80 exhibitors were in attendance to provide folks with answers and knowledge.
“As a homeowner it can be very overwhelming to redo the siding on your house or redo windows and stuff like that,” said George Burgess, Inside Sales Rep at Midway Wholesale Beacon. “So this a great opportunity to get product knowledge as well as they’re doing seminars; it’s free with your admission into the Home Builders Association show.”
Burgess said the seminars go on throughout the event and cover multiple topics. He also said it is a great place to get product knowledge, but for some it’s a chance to test the renovation waters.
“It just kind of helps us bounce some ideas off multiple people, grab some ideas,” said Jason Skalsky. “One vendor may have an idea that maybe another vendor may not or come up with or it may be just differences in what materials is out there.”
Skalsky said the event gives him an idea of what’s on the market. He also said it allows him a chance to explore his options, and maybe tailor those together.
