Deputies found Hachtel at his home in the area of Clay Avenue and 11th Street.

The sheriff’s office said that while deputies were attempting to take Hachtel into custody, he allegedly threatened to shoot the responding deputy and refused multiple orders to exit his home. This led to a standoff that lasted several hours.

The Central Nebraska Special Response Team was called to assist during the standoff.

Hachtel eventually exited his home and was taken into custody without further incident.

Hachtel was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, making terroristic threats, resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer. He was transported to the Clay County Jail.
