GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man is charged with sexual assault of a minor.

Kristopher Snyder, 34, made his first appearance on the felony charge in Hall County Court Thursday morning.

According to Grand Island Police, Snyder is accused of assaulting a 15-year-old girl back in November while at his home. The victim was acquainted with Snyder’s family.

According to the arrest affidavit, the teen told police that Snyder had apologized and offered to pay her for forgiveness.

Later in the presence of police, the victim spoke with Snyder who again apologized and confirmed he knew her age.

Snyder was arrested on Wednesday at his job.

His bond is set at 10 percent of $200,000 and he’s ordered to have no contact with the victim.

A public defender has been appointed in the case.

Snyder’s next court date is set for 11 a.m. on March 18.
